According to reports, a few students of the college had approached college administration for permission to host ‘jagran‘ on the occasion of Saraswati Puja on the night of January 22. The college management gave a go ahead.
However, the college witnessed a dance show instead of ‘jagran’. Videos of the event show a packed campus ground with girls in skimpy clothes dancing on vulgar Bhojpuri numbers. Shockingly, a few police jawans were also seen enjoying the event.
When enquired about the issue, Vice Chancellor Ras Biharu Singh said he had no idea about a dance show being organised on the college campus. He said the students had come to him asking permission for ‘jagran‘ on Saraswati Puja.
“When I asked the students what event they are going to organise they told me that a ‘jagran‘ would be held. But now it is being reported that a dance event was held. This won’t be tolerated. I have asked the principal for a report. Strict action will be taken,” Singh said.
